The Media and its Responsibilities The word media comes from Latin and means the means of communication, as radio and Television, newspapers, and magazines that reach or influence people widely. 1575-85; Latin: the middle, noun use of neuter of medius middle. (dictionary.com) Media gives the world information, reporting what is happening around you. Media can give you fame or ruin you. Media is considered the most influential outlet sources that exist to mankind, having the most power and a great deal of responsibility in leading people in their thoughts. The most current information in social media has introduced people to a new dimension of media responsibilities and enriching human being relationships and interaction. A great deal of the new age of young people spend most of their life texting and meeting new people from all parts of the world people they never physically met but find their self-comfortable enough to share values, beliefs and virtues through such social media such as emails, facebook, twitter and etc. It’s no surprise that the media has been around for over 200 years. It started with the phone and radio in 1891 progressing throughout the years. In the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s creating computers and later on the internet. When these things came in a place that’s when media and social media arises. Media plays a major role in a person s life.
